What is collagen?

Collagen is the main structural protein found in various connective tissues in the body. It is the most abundant protein in humans, making up 25%–35% of the body‘s protein content. It is mostly found in fibrous tissues such as tendons, ligaments, and skin.

Why choose marine collagen?

Marine collagen (cod) consists of smaller peptides than bovine, making marine collagen easier to digest and distribute throughout the body.

Wild caught cod collagen is mostly Type I collagen, which is the most abundant type of collagen found in the human body and accounts for 80% of the collagen in skin, making it the most similar in structure to human collagen.

What are peptides?

Peptides are short chains of amino acids linked by peptide bonds. You could call them fragments of proteins. On their own, peptides are made up of amino acids. When amino acids are combined in certain formations they create specific peptides, and when peptides are formed in a certain way, they make specific proteins.

Why do we need collagen supplements?

Starting in your mid 20‘s, the body’s natural collagen production starts to decline by about 2% a year and is not replenished. By the age of 40, the body will lose between 10–20% of its collagen and up to 50% by the age of 50. Because of this, it is essential to supplement your collagen intake. Besides age, there are other factors that can increase collagen depletion such as high sugar consumption, smoking, direct UV rays, and menopause.

What does hydrolyzed collagen mean?

Hydrolysis is the chemical reaction in which a molecule of water ruptures one or more chemical bonds. Hydrolyzed collagen is therefore collagen that has been broken down into more easily dissolvable amino acids to assist in supporting skin hydration and elasticity.

What are amino acids?

Amino acids are the body‘s building blocks and they are the driving force that produces the exact protein your muscle needs. Amino acids play a role in energy, weight loss, building muscle tissue, mood, and overall brain function.

Is wild caught cod collagen environmentally friendly?

The collagen used in just björn products comes from the nutrient rich skin of the wild caught Nordic cod sourced from the pristine waters of the North Atlantic and Arctic oceans–once a byproduct that was discarded. Unlike other sources of collagen, marine collagen produces far less greenhouse gas emissions.

We recommend 1 scoop/10 grams of just björn collagen, taken daily at any time of day. This is the ideal amount for your body to process and absorb.

We recommend taking just björn collagen daily for 45-60 days to see results. An active lifestyle and regular exercise will help you achieve best results. Many see and feel the benefits within the first 30 days.

What is the best way to take just björn collagen?

We recommend blending 1 scoop into your favorite smoothie or mixing it thoroughly into water, coffee, tea, or into your food.

What is the best way to dissolve just björn collagen?

Collagen peptides are strings of amino acids that work like a glue or bonding agent in your body. This means collagen in its purest form (like just björn!) is best consumed by using a blender, shaking it vigorously in a water bottle, or mixing it thoroughly in liquids for at least 30 seconds.

I’m new to collagen, what should I start with?

What does just björn collagen protein powder taste like?

Our unflavored collagen peptides has no taste or odor.

Why does just björn packaging indicate that products are processed in a facility that also processes soy, fish, shellfish, milk, peanuts, tree nuts, wheat and eggs?

We include this information to provide full disclosure of the fact that all of our products are manufactured in a facility where these ingredients are present. The equipment is thoroughly cleaned prior to manufacturing products that don’t contain these ingredients in order to prevent cross-contamination.

What is the shelf life of the product?

The shelf life of just björn collagen peptides is 2 years from the day it was packaged. The product should be stored in a cool dry place.

What is the typical order processing and delivery time?

Orders are typically processed and shipped within 1 day from receipt of the order and take up to 4 days for standard delivery in the continental US. Orders will be processed Monday–Thursday 9am–5pm and Fridays 9am–4pm, excluding holidays.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, and Discover as well as Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay.

How can I track my order?

Once an order has been processed and shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with a tracking number.

What subscription options do you offer?

To subscribe to a just björn product you simply sign up and/or sign into your just björn account. Choose the product or products you would like to subscribe to and select the subscription frequency.

How do I update or change my account information and frequency?

Sign in to your just björn account to change or update your shipping address, billing information, frequency or cancel your subscription.

What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel your subscription at any time. We ask that cancellations be made at least three days prior to your next shipment. Login to your account to change or cancel your subscription.

Can I use a discount code on subscriptions?

just björn subscriptions include a 20% discount and cannot be combined with any other offer or promo code unless otherwise specified.

GIFT CARDS  

Can gift cards be used with promotional codes?

Yes, you can use a valid promo code and use a gift card as your method of payment.

Can I use a gift card to purchase a subscription?

You can use a gift card on your first subscription order, but a gift card can’t be added as a method of payment for subsequent subscriptions orders. A valid credit card will be needed to continue a subscription.

Can I use a gift card to buy another gift card?

Sorry, a gift card cannot be used to purchase another gift card.

How do I redeem my gift card?

Enter the gift card’s unique code at checkout. Gift card codes are NOT case sensitive.

If the balance available on the gift card is greater than or equal to the order total, click complete order.

If the balance available on the gift card is less than the order total, you will be prompted to choose an additional payment method for the balance before placing the order. 

Can a gift card be used more than once?

Yes, as long as there is a remaining card balance.

How can I check the balance of my gift card?

Please contact customerservice@justbjorn.com to confirm your balance. Alternatively, enter your unique code on the checkout page to see the remaining balance amount applied to your cart.

How do I send a gift card to someone?

To purchase and send a gift card to someone, check “I want to send this as a gift” and fill in the recipient’s name and email. You can also add a custom message and select a send on date.

Once you fill in the requested fields, add to cart, and check out. You’ll receive an email confirmation when the Digital Gift Card has been sent to the recipient’s email on your indicated date.
