Who doesn’t love a good top 10 list - favorite songs, travel destinations, or food. Here’s my current top 10 list (not by category and in no particular order), and mind you, I am in no way associated with the companies I mention….I just love love love these products and want to give them a shout out because they deserve it!
- Sonos speakers. I have always been looking for quality speakers that are stylish and that you can connect to many speakers in different rooms. I found what I was looking for in Sonos. Love this brand.
- Avocados. I have a love affair with avocados. Whether it is making the best guacamole or avocado toast, in my salad, or fried avocado fries. Avocados are high in monounsaturated (healthy) fats and contain fiber and potassium. They are great for your heart and cardiovascular system.
- Marine collagen. I would love for you to try and buy my just björn marine collagen and experience the health benefits, but if you are using some other brand I am happy for you and hope you are experiencing the same healing powers of this superfood as I am. I’ve taken it every day for 8 years, and I can’t live without it.
- Iceland in June. If you haven’t already experienced Iceland, I encourage you to make a visit. Every season has its charm, December being beautiful with all the Christmas lights and the fireworks on New Year’s Eve, but June is special. The energy and joy of summertime in Iceland is contagious. We have 24 hours of daylight and for those who like playing golf it is very special to play golf at midnight.
- Sparkling water with lemon and lime. In Iceland my favorite drink is Kristall with lime and in the US my favorite is Canada Dry sparkling seltzer water with lemon and lime. I don’t drink sugary soda, coffee, or energy drinks, so seltzer water is my go-to drink and I love these two brands.
- Sushi. What can I say, sushi is probably my favorite food. When I treat myself, I order sushi.
- CrossFit. I don’t like exercising alone, but going to a regular gym to lift weights is not my thing. In 2016 I walked into a CrossFit box in Iceland and haven’t looked back since. I look forward to every class and hope to do CrossFit for years to come.
- Swimming pools in Iceland. With all the geothermal water we have in Iceland, we are fortunate enough to have a swimming pool in almost every municipality. Icelandic swimming pools are luxurious spas with hot and cold tubs, saunas and swimming pools. A must visit when in Iceland.
- New York City. Some people find it cold, raw, and uninviting, but after living there for many years I love the energy, diversity, and possibilities, and I always get that “I am home” feeling when I come to New York.
- Meditation. I learned Transcendental meditation in Denmark in 2014 and have done some sort of meditation ever since. This has enriched my life, made me more whole and a better person. I encourage everyone to add some sort of mindfulness into their lives.
This is my top 10 - I would love to hear from you! What’s on your list?
